Utilizing copper has it challenges because unlike nickel and other commonly used undercoating, copper is a much heavier element. Consequently, since the surface area of the 4 iron through the wedges are all different, each iron will add various levels of weight during the copper electroplate process.

To resolve this issue Blade uses a formula during the polishing process which anticipates these added copper weight differences in order keep swing weights consistent within your requested specifications.

Using copper is added work but it’s well worth the effort and golfers really appreciate the resulting great feel and as well as the attention to detail that goes into every Blade iron!
