MADE FOR YOU!
Blade Golf makes golf clubs like no other manufacturer. First, we mill the entire iron out of a 1020 carbon steel forged stamping. All Blade irons and wedges are made from forged stampings. We use forged stampings because the forging process promotes better feel and consistency and we use 1020 carbon steel because it is very soft with one of the lowest Rockwell hardness ratings* available.
100% Milled 1020 Carbon Steel Forgings
Blade utilizes computerized CNC milling to make each head from a stamped forging to ensure precise and consistent head design. Even though a full CNC milling is a much more expensive process it creates your irons with very tight tolerances and matching specifications. Our goal is to deliver to you the consistent look and feel golfers so passionately seek!
The “Copper Cushion™”
The Copper Cushion™ is our unique feature that we offer in all our golf irons. After milling and final polishing, we add a layer of soft copper underneath the final chrome finish to provide the ultimate in feel and feedback that golfers truly desire. Adding copper has it challenges because unlike nickel and other commonly used undercoating, copper is a much heavier element. Consequently, since the surface area of the irons all vary, we actually have to allow for the varying weight copper adds for each iron. It’s added work but it’s well worth the effort and golfer really appreciate this level of quality going into every Blade iron.
One Set At A Time
Manufacturing a superior product while incredibly important is just the beginning. At Blade Golf, we believe that every golfer deserves a club that's uniquely tailored to their individual needs.
There are no existing Blade products waiting to sell. All Blade clubs are built just for you the customer, one set at a time to your unique specifications. This is why we don’t use the retail channel, which mostly sells generic pre-built sets for a future unknown customer.
Instead, we developed our "Made for You" process, where we build each club to your unique specifications, one at a time. During the assembly process, we dry assemble (no glue yet) each club to ensure that your requested specs such as shaft, grip, club length, lie/loft, and swing weights are matched throughout the set.
- cut your shafts to requested length
- install your grips
- we dry assemble our weight-sorted heads
- then we “blueprint” the set to your requested lie, loft and swing weight specs.
- lastly, we glue everything together, recheck your specs in Q/A and ship your clubs to you; usually within 2 weeks.
Once blueprinted to your specs we are free to finish and run through Q/A one more time before shipping directly to you. weeks of your order.
This exceptional attention to detail ensures that your set will meet your specifications and have consistent balance points and feel throughout the entire set. When your irons arrive you will now own not only the best performing and feeling golf irons made but arguably the best-looking club in all of golf.
